The big story tonight - jonas hiller is on the bench and 20 year old rookie John Gibson is in goal!  If you're into number games, the first team to score has won the all 3 games, also the visiting team.  and the numbers didn't lie tonight!

Ducks get the first goal! Devante Smith-Pelly (3) Wrist shot - ASST: Corey Perry (6), Ryan Getzlaf (9). Quicks stick got caught up in somebodies equipment so he couldn't get back around.

ok maybe it worked, the ducks got 0 - that's zero - shots in the 2nd period.

the ducks defense is rockin' in the 3rd.  but now the kings are gonna get a powerplay! can they make anything out of it???  nope ducks kill the penalty!

according to the announcer who used to play for the kings coach sutter - he pulled Quick becuase he didn't want the team to keep relying on Quick to stop the puck and didn't want his best goalie to take a loss becuase the other players weren't working hard. I don't know if that's true - it seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face, but the other commentators agreed that it sounded like something the kings coach would do.  i'm sure he'll tell us in the post-game interview.

And that's the game! WOW. I'm wondering who we're gonna see in goal Monday night?

why hasn't boston put the canadiens away yet?
why didn't either team score a goal during regulation last game?
why doens't home-ice advantage mean anything in this series?

I don't know - but i'd venture to say this one is going to 7 games and the last one will be a thriller! GAA (1.67)& SV% .941. Love to the goalies!

Home ice advantage is key - well, for the visiting team that is - each team has won their away games so if you are superstitious - the ducks have an advantage here. But they will
have to do it without 3 players: Goaltender Frederik Andersenand forwards Matt Beleskey and Mathieu Perreault each left Game 3 and are reported to be day-to-day.
but the kings have Anze Kopitar - he has at least 1 point in every game and lead the league with 15 points (playoff stats only).  seems like 3 is the magic number to win the game so far - who will get their team there first?
