Day 11 - Sharks v kings

my how things have changed!  the kings lead 2-0 in the first!  first goal by Anze Kopitar on a Wrist shot - ASST: Dustin Brown .

2nd goal Tyler Toffoli on a Snap shot - ASST: Tanner Pearson (1), Alec Martinez 

and the kings are taking no prisioners!  they are up 3-0 on a power play goal by Jeff Carter with  Backhand shot - ASST: Marian Gaborik (1), Drew Doughty (4)

this is why we love our goalies!

and the kings win it 3-0 and the kings close the gap in the series but still trail 3-2.

Day #11 - born to be wild v avs

WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFFS BABY!

woohoo - 2 goals in a row.  avalanche score first on a short-handed goal by Cody McLeod  with a Tip-in - ASST: Ryan O'Reilly 

ginger alert!  the avs fans are on mcleod 9!

then the boys from minnesota go wild! and score 1 minute later!  Matt Moulson on a  Deflected shot - ASST: Jared Spurgeon (1), Dany Heatley.

 

and the snowmen score again - Nick Holden with a Tip-in - ASST: Andre Benoit  & Nathan MacKinnon .  18 year old rookie nathan mckinnon already has 7 points in round 1 of the playoffs!

Zach Parise - BORN TO BE WILD! get the tying goal in the 3rd.

YES and kyle broodziak scores and the gingers are kickin' butt tonight! it's a solo slapshot

wow and the avs tie it up with l:14 left in the game!  goal by parentea!

Mckinnon scores the game winner in OT - i hate the avs, but this kid is good!

Game Day #11: blue jackets v penguins

bluejackets come out swinging and boone jenner gets a ppg! with assists from David Savard & Ryan Johansen

penguins strike back in the 2nd with Chris Kunitz goal from  a Wrist shot - ASST: Sidney Crosby & Matt Niskanen

end of 2nd tied at 1-1

ever wonder what the goalie sees?  maybe this is why fleury is having trouble stopping them

and a goal by kris letang wins the game for the penguins. assists by Craig Adams & Chris Kunitz 

and the penguins lead the series 3-2 so the bluejackets must win the next game to stay in!

Day 11 - bruins v redwings

and the bruins take charge right away with a power play, backhanded goal by loui eriksson.

sorry guys, fell asleep on the job. let me catch up to speed while we are at the tv timeout when the ref gets hit in the face with a puck.

detroit gets a ppg in the 2nd by pavel dtsyuk - nice smile!  assists from zetterberg & alfredsson

but the bruins answer with 2 more. in the 2nd, a snapshop from zendo chara 

assists from patrice bergeron and torey krug

and bruins again in the 3rd with a goal by milan lucic with another assisit for krug

uhoh - with 3:52 left zutterberg gets the rebound past rask - amazing goal to keep the wing in it.

redwings cut the lead to 3-2 with a couple of minutes left.

and just to put the nail in the redwings coffin, jarome iginla get the empty netter (gotta love those!) and that does it for the redwings in the 24th consecutive stanley cup playoff appearnce.  

and brenden & reilly smith shake hands.  reilly moves on to round 2!
